Good Tuesday Afternoon Heartland. Drier air is beginning to move its way into the heartland, but we are still dealing with a few scattered storms this afternoon. These storms will be with us through the early evening hours. Most areas will not see thunderstorms but those that do can expect heavy downpours, frequent cloud to ground lightning, and gusty winds. Temperatures will continue to be warm and muggy outside storms this evening. After midnight slightly cooler air will move in behind a cold front. Lows by morning will be in the lower to middle 60s. Wednesday will be sunny and drier. Highs will reach the middle to upper 80s.
